Things you need to know
Safety
You must hold a current restricted drivers licence or higher (you must bring your licence with you on the day)
Driver must be aged 16 years or over

We have a zero tolerance to alcohol on all self drive experiences
Not suitable for pregnant women or those suffering from a heart condition
You must have a credit/debit card for a $2,000 security bond, for any damages that are caused through negligent or inappropriate use of the vehicle. All funds will be released after the experience is finished if no damage has been caused to the vehicle
Due to the nature of this experience, verbal proficiency in English is essential

How many laps do I get?
You will drive 7 laps of our club circuit.
Is the instructor with me the whole time?
Yes, the instructor will be in the passenger's seat.
How long does the experience take?
We recommend you allow an hour and a half for the experience – this will include registration, briefing, gear requirements and then approx. 15 minutes in the car driving.
Does the professional driver drive at all throughout the 7 laps?
No, the customer will drive all 7 laps.
Is the car manual?
No, it is automatic and a left-hand drive.
What drivers' licence is required?
Minimum of a valid New Zealand restricted drivers' licence (either restricted or full licence).
What is the $2,000 cash bond for?
The bond is to cover any damages that may occur that was the driver’s fault – during registration we will get you to fill in the crash bond form, although we will only deduct the money if any damage is caused, otherwise if there is no damage then no money will be deducted.
Is there a height or age requirement?
The minimum age for this experience is 16 years old and our minimum height requirement is 150cm (4 foot, 11 inches) and the maximum height is 195cm (6 foot, 5 inches). The maximum weight restriction is 115kgs.
How long before my experience is my arrival time?
We ask that you arrive 30 minutes before your experience begins. I.e. if you book for 11am your arrival time will be 10.30am.
How long after my experience should I book my go karts for?
We recommend booking your go karts for an hour and a half after your experience. I.e. if your experience in a car is at 10am we recommend booking go karts for 11.30am.
