Why us

Our Wet Skid Pan experience gives you a unique opportunity to get your car out on our self-watering concrete skid pan where you can get it sideways and hone your skidding skills in a safe but exhilarating environment!

1 HOUR SESSION

Day of the event

1.  ARRIVAL

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your booked experience then fill out your details on the paperwork on the tables at the front of pitlane.

2.  SHOW ID AND LICENCE

Drivers will need to show their photo ID and voucher/

confirmation email at the desk. Drivers will then be given an armband.

3.  driver briefing

Your next step will be the drivers’ briefing, at the end of the briefing you’ll receive a stamp.

4.  staging area

Participants will then get ready to head out on track, they’ll head to the staging area in pitlane to get suited.

5.  get on the track

Next, you’ll proceed to the waiting bays and get in line to jump in a car. You’ll be behind the wheel in no time from here.

6.  get certificate

After you are off track your printed certificate will be ready for pick up. You’re welcome to grab a coffee or some food from our onsite café.

Hone your skidding skills and get sideways in your own car on our Wet Skid Pan! You are guaranteed 3 x 3-minute runs on the skid pan but where numbers allow, you will have unlimited access throughout the session.

Drivers NEED

  • Drivers have to be over the age of 18.
  • Minimum clothing requirement for this event is long sleeve shirt (covering to wrists), long pants (covering to ankle) and enclosed shoes.
  • Balaclava (Can be purchased on the day for $10).

passengers NEED

  • Photo ID.
  • Voucher or booking confirmation.
  • Must be over the age of 7.
  • All passengers under 18-years-old need to have parental permission. Legal guardians must sign the indemnity form and produce their Photo ID and Medicare listing themselves and the child.
  • Minimum clothing requirement for this event is long sleeve shirt (covering to wrists), long pants (covering to ankle) and enclosed shoes.
  • Balaclava (Can be purchased on the day for $10).

Things you need to know

Safety

  • You must hold a current restricted drivers licence or higher (you must bring your licence with you on the day)
  • Driver must be aged 16 years or over
  • Minimum height: 150cm
  • Maximum height: 195cm
  • Maximum weight: 115kg
  • We have a zero tolerance to alcohol on all self drive experiences
  • Not suitable for pregnant women or those suffering from a heart condition
  • You must have a credit/debit card for a $2,000 security bond, for any damages that are caused through negligent or inappropriate use of the vehicle. All funds will be released after the experience is finished if no damage has been caused to the vehicle

Neck restraints are required. The neck restraint worn is dependent on seatbelt type in your vehicle e.g. an FHR for a 4-point harness or higher vehicle.
Drivers must hold a NZ restricted licence or higher. Please ensure you bring your license with you on the day! Only physical licenses will be accepted

We have a zero tolerance to alcohol on all self drive activities

Can I take passengers?

Yes, you are able to take passengers, we allow one passenger per door. I.e. 4 door car means 1x driver and a maximum of 3 passengers.

  • Passengers 16 years and under are FREE
  • All passengers over the age of 16 will incur a $15 fee each on the day of your session
What safety gear do I need?

You only need a helmet, FHR for a 4-point harness and closed in shoes.

How long is 1 session and how much is it per session?

One session is an hour long and we allow up to 8 cars per session. It is $69 per session.

How much does it cost for passengers?
  • Passengers 16 years and under are FREE
  • All passengers over the age of 16 will incur a $15 fee each on the day of your session
What licence do I need?

You must have a minimum of a valid New Zealand restricted licence (Restricted or full licence). Please remember to bring this on the day with you as we check them.

Does my car need a current WOF/Registration?

No, your car is able to go on the Wet Skid Pan without either of these.
